Perfect weather for the perfect day. Jessie and Jacob tied the knot at Purgatory Golf Club under a layer of puffy white clouds with a slight breeze. The course was immaculate and the backdrop made gorgeous photos, especially with the green and pink in the girls’ bouquets. It was just a perfect day! Both of these families are kind, patient, and wonderful to work with. I absolutely love this set of images, and I think you will, too! Congratulations, Jessie and Jacob!
Photographing this wedding and meeting this fabulous group of people was such a joy. Everyone I talked to was incredibly kind and sweet, and they loved getting their picture taken! The bride and groom, besides being completely in love, were hilarious! I don’t know how this day could have gone any better. The weather was gorgeous, the scenery was stunning, the food was delicious and the cake was amazing! And can we talk about the venue? The Nest Event Center is beyond gorgeous. I’m so happy the south side is gaining more amazing places like this. Thank you, Lorraine and Doug, for allowing me to document your day!
The perfect wedding? Yes, I think so! I love a small, enjoyable backyard gathering of friends and family that just so happens to have two people tying the knot. Sara and Max had a perfect day. These two are poets so I’m not even going to attempt to describe the gorgeous weather, but trust me, the breeze was light and the sun was warm, it was perfect! They requested a more photojournalistic approach to their wedding images, something I love to hear. The bride grew the majority of these flowers in her own backyard and wore a vintage dress. Their lovable dog, Bruce, was the ring bearer. Basically, if you want me to fall in love with a couple, talk about photojournalism, your home-grown garden, and bring a dog. Mission accomplished. Also, shout-out to TURF catering for the delicious, local food that was all made from scratch. Thank you, Max and Sara, for inviting me to document your day. Cheers to you and your awesome families!
They say a little bit of rain is good luck on your wedding day. Not that they need it, these two make the perfect couple! Jill and Matt are combining forces with each of their two children to make one big happy family. I fully support all the adorableness in the family photos below. The two were married on May 7, 2016, at Avon Gardens in Avon, Indiana, and the day was absolutely wonderful. Jill and Matt are blessed with amazing family and friends, as you can see. It was a pleasure, thank you for allowing me to be a part of your celebration!
It rained all day. But Jamie and I knew (hoped?!) it wouldn’t last all night, so we agreed to meet up in the early evening and see if we could make this engagement session happen while Justin was still in town. We pulled it off in spectacular style! The rain made the colors of the leaves pop and everything looked fresh and crisp. It was the perfect autumn day. Not to mention these two lovebirds! I cannot wait to photograph their September 2016 wedding. Congratulations on your engagement, Jamie and Justin!
